Audrea Johnson, PhD, LP, LSSP
It is not uncommon for parents to feel confused, alone, and frustrated or be unsure where to start in getting assistance for their child. I focus on providing each family an understanding of their child's unique set of strengths and weaknesses and actively supporting as they implement recommendations.
I specialize in providing comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents. I work with a variety of presenting concerns such as autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, epilepsy, neurodiversity, and more. Through comprehensive testing, I look at the neurocognitive underpinnings that can impact a child’s ability to function optimally as well as areas where a child experiences strength. This allows me to tailor recommendations to skill building and assist families with case management, parent coaching, and consultation. I want every family I work with to be treated with the same care, focus, and attention I actively seek for my own children.

As a parent, I don't trust the health and care of my children to just anyone, and I am passionate about providing that same level of care and support to those I serve--not because I'm a parent, but because I'm a provider who has been on the parent's side of the table.
It can be difficult to find a provider who understands the complexity that neurologic, neurodevelopmental, or chronic medical issues can create for your child's mental and behavioral health. I specialize in working with children and teens diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Tourette's/Tic Disorders, ADHD, and OCD, and with autoimmune disorders, EDS, diabetes, or PANDAS/PANS. Often, those I see in therapy have more than one of these diagnoses; they are children for whom typical therapeutic strategies often aren't effective. I specialize in providing individualized, integrated, and specialized care. It is my joy to help you and your child learn the skills you need to live your best lives.

My aim is to help youth build a life that feels worth living. If your kid is struggling with strong emotions, problem behaviors, or school progress, I am the kind of psychologist that can help you make plan of action. We don’t just talk, we DO!
Through either assessment or counseling, I can help your child, teen, or young adult handle their anxiety/OCD, depression, anger, defiance, or traumatic stress. I enjoy working with youth with neurodevelopmental differences, such as ADHD and autism. Counseling with me is focused on learning skills to handle our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I rely heavily on Cognitive Behavior Therapy family of therapies including Exposure with Response Prevention, Trauma-focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Parent Management Training. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills.
